Jim Walker (Director)

Jim Walker began rowing in Chester at the age of thirteen. His international rowing career spanned 15 years and included a silver medal at the Junior World Championships, a bronze medal at the World Championships and appearances at the Olympic Games in 1992 and 1996. He retired from the sport in 2000 after an unsuccessful bid at selection for a third Olympic Games, and devoted the next seven years to establishing himself in environmental management, initially as a consultant at URS Corporation and Environmental Resources Management, and since 2003 as Chief Operating Officer of The°Climate Group.

He graduated in Biology from Imperial College London in 1989 and holds a Masters in Environmental Technology, also from Imperial.

He began developing The Bridge Network in 2006, inspired by his own experiences of retirement from sport, the Power 10 network in New York and the book “Never Eat Alone” by Keith Ferrazzi.
