Annabel Eyres
Annabel started her rowing career in 1986 in her second year at Pembroke College, Oxford where she read Fine Art. She rowed in the Women's Blue Boat in 1987 and 1988, winning the race in her second year.
She quickly embarked on an international rowing career in 1987 after being selected for the U23 world championships and as spare at the World Championships. She was a finalist at the World Championships in Bled in 1989, in Vienna in 1991 and in double sculls at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.
Annabel formed Rock The Boat clothing company with two other rowers as a way of funding her international rowing career. The company is still going strong under new management and she continues to design for the brand. She is currently embarking on a new career as a portrait artist. Annabel is married to a Housemaster at Radley College where they run a boarding house for teenage boys.
